Ever since Copyblogger coined the Third Tribe, thousands of bloggers starting identifying with it.
It's cool to be a part of this Tribe.
Every blogger big or small wants to differentiate himself/herself from the sleazy internet salesmen and copywriters who make to make a quick buck.
So in simple terms what makes a blogger a third tribe? Here's a quick checklist!
- You contribute value to the Tribe/community (It's way sexier to be part of a tribe than a community!)
- Your every second post is not a review, promotion or advisement of your or third parties services or products.
- You either promote your own services or products (like Copyblogger does) or none at all (what most bloggers do!)
- You realise blogging is writing and copywriting (for bloggers promoting their services or products).
Yes to all > You are definitely a Third Tribe.
Yes to 3, 2, or 1 > Welcome to the rest of us! Blogging community!
No to all > Shame on you! Start another blog!
Cheers!
